Tip #1 for Your New Year’s Resolutions…

You’ve been saying how much you like these New Year’s Resolution tips over the last few days. You have been sharing things like, “That was such a simple pointer. It made all the difference for me. Thank you.” And, “I like how you give advice in a meaningful and practical way.”

I’ve also received notes such as, “What you said about goals makes sense Kara, but how exactly do I construct a set of unique goals, mini goals, and action steps that will work for ME??”

One of the biggest challenges with New Year’s Resolutions is that we don’t know how to implement action to make the changes that we want to. In fact, sometimes we don’t even know what changes we want to make.

What holds us back is often not apparent to us… if we knew what was holding us back, we would’ve fixed it already.

My NUMBER 1 TIP for New Year’s Resolutions is to reach out for support to identify your roadblocks and blind spots. Read a book that has been sitting on your shelf and that is now calling out to you. Watch some inspirational TedX talks. Join a weekly course.

There is a funny notion out there (sometimes we hold it unconsciously) that we should be able to figure out all of this on our own. NO WAY!!

You are not alone. Choose to reach out. C’mon… you know this is the PERFECT TIME…
