Rest, Rejuvenate and Rock It

It’s so important to emphasize that we need to continue filling our energy tanks to stay positive and motivated. When I was writing this, an old friend and colleague texted me to ask what the kids and I were up to for the weekend. I said that the kids were with their dad. He texted back and said, “What are you doing today then? Taking a break and looking after yourself, I hope. Remember how you would say to me that you cannot help others if you do not take care of yourself first? Besides, you work too damn hard.” I shared with him that I was doing exactly that. I was out of town, staying with a girlfriend, relaxing, and writing the book.

One of the greatest blessings in life is that we’re granted a new day every 24 hours, with an opportunity to sleep in between. When things start to feel hard and the obstacles too great, a good night’s sleep can do wonders. Sometimes a brand new perspective or brand new ideas or brand new circumstances emerge the next day that you would never expect. Something pops into your mind, or you run into the perfect person, or something happens in the perfect way.
