“Environmentalism isn’t a discipline or specialty. It’s a way of seeing our place in the world. And we need everybody to see the world that way. Don’t think ‘In order to make a difference, I have to become an environmentalist.’”
Going green is another opportunity to create happiness in life and to feel a love beyond ourselves. For too long, we’ve regarded our planet as separate from ourselves, when in fact we’re one. I believe that we all know that the planet is not something to take from or to conquer or to take for granted. Yet despite knowing this, we live day to day like we’re entitled to use and abuse the Earth’s resources.
Living a green lifestyle is symbolic of being in touch with how simplicity brings true happiness and how care and contribution brings true love. When we love our planet, which is us, we love ourselves. If we transform the way we interact with nature and our environmental living, and if we get in touch with being conscious, responsible, appreciative, and diligent, chances are pretty good that other areas in our life will be transformed as well.
